WALT: use the visualisation strategy to help us understand complex ideas.

Visualisation is when you create images and pictures in your head like a movie from the text that you read. It helps you remember topic and key ideas.

We have used the visualisation strategy to help us remember what fossilisation is and what permineralization is. Here is a picture of my work. Hope you enjoy!

What are fractions?

This is a DLO that I have made to show what fractions are and what they represents.

What is a PH strip?

W.A.L.T use a ph strip so we can see if some drinks have acid in them or not. Also we put one egg in each container  so we can see what happen over time. When we came to check on them the red bull creak the shell so that mans that red bull has a lot of acid in it.

Music can make you fat

I am learning to write simple,compound and complex sentences

the sentences that I am good at is simple and compound and I need to learn is complex

Music can make you fat

I think that sports is more important than music because music can’t help you get fit and it can’t help you get healthy do you agree or disagree “well i agree that sports is important”?

My first reason is that sports can make us healthy when you want to get fit music won’t do the trick. You have to get up and do that you will get healthy if you trany. For example we want to play sports but we can’t because we are not healthy. So if you want to play sports well you need to get fit and healthy.

My second reason is that sometimes we want to sit down to hear music some of us we like to sit down. To hear music but that does not help as to get healthy. We need to exercise so we can get faster and stronger. We also need a balance diet so we can be healthy to. For an example we need to eat right.

My last reason is that we can make more friends in sports you can meet new friends some can be in your team. Same are not in your  team but they are still your friend. See that is why sports is so important.  Because it will make you new friends in different places. For an example sports will make as new friends.

In summary I think that sports is important because it will make as healthy and we will meet new friends.

A day at the exhausted factory

In class I had to write a recount from the perspective (view) of a child working in a sweatshop. I chose to be a kid working in a toy factory.

What I was learning in writing was to us descriptive words in my writing.

On Monday morning I wearily got out of bed. And head to work When I got there my boss was waiting for me. “Where have you been” he shouted at Me. My hands were shaking like a leaf. And He said “i’m going to put an extra 9 hours on”.

An hour later I walked to my working spot afterword. I got a bit dizzy then my hand got stuck in the machinery. My friend hung bow ran to the machine and turned it off. My hand was crushed but the boss said.” Keep on working” so I kept on working. my hand was shaking in fear.

Hours later the buzzer goes off. “It is time for lunch!” the boss shouted Young bow and I went to go and have lunch. We had a little bit of rice and one slice of tomato. We wished  that we can have meat. 2 hours later the buzzer went off. And we had to work for 10 more hours. We wish that we can just disappear

Finally, it is 12:00 pm. I can finish work and go to sleep. I am too exhausted to work any more. I said to myself then i rushed in to bed. Then I had a dream  my dream was that I could get out. Of this factory then happiness was bubbling in my dream.

In the holidays we went to Kerikeri we went to kerikeri because we went to jump. When we got inside. My eyes sparkled with joy but We had to pay for 5 min to get in we went on the trampoline first. We were jumping up and down. Then my brother threw the ball \At me. Then dad took a video of Jonas throwing the ball at my sister. We stayed in their for a long time and we saw more people coming in. So we all had a big game of tag. But first we had to get into groups. it was girls vs boys

So we started the game. Hours later we kept on playing we jumped up and down. We all went around the girls and they tag most of the boys. But not me or Jonas so we kept on running. Until they could get as so we kept on running. Then I started to stop I stop because I ran out of brief but I had to kept on running. We jump side to side so we could out run the girls. When we went on the right side and they got mad so they went to get the  ball and they started throwing it at as.

                                                               Going home

After that we had to go home the boys won the game of tag when we got out of jump. I thought that i wish that we can go in. there again when we got in the car we got out of the parking lot and we had to get out of. Kerikeri when we were on the . Road happiness was bubbling up inside me because this was the best day of my Life then we were at at last i said to mum. I will never forget when my brother throw the ball at my sister and when we played

The day we play Mine craft

I think that I am just starting how to do a simple and compound sentences

“Die die” I was saying to my brother “Never” he said back to me “I am going to beat you” I said “No you're not” he said . My mum came in and said “Bed time boys” “five more minutes mum please” she replied “fine” It was Saturday night and me and my brother were playing Mine craft. It was so much fun we were always fighting on who was the best at playing Mine craft. My brother was like do you want a fight and I said yes.

Then. the games begin first we had to make a house.We were only able to use two objects my brother

used sand and wood after that it was my turn to used the same objects I used sand and wood.

We both looked at each of our houses and I won and my brother said,  “you win OK it is my turn now to make something”  The first one to make a car get’s a block of chocolate and we both put in five dollars. We had to use the same object. Two hours later me and my brother stopped . We stopped because

mum came in and said it is bedtime. We ran into bed but my brother kept on playing . and it was not fear he was not aloud to play Mine craft

Again he won. I felt bad that he won but next time I will win. I will have a good time. So we had a nether game of Mine craft . We fate asleep on the game and we wake up.

Because mum waked us up.  We had another game of Mine craft and we had to make a school. and it took the both of us to make it.

and we finish. It took us  like five hours we had. A look at it and lots of people came and looked at it.

To be successful we will:

1. Think about an cause (event) and what happens because of it (effect)
2. Use cause and effect connectives such as because of this, as a result, as a consequence and when this happens…
3. Check that full stops are at the end of the idea (remember it will be simple, compound or complex) I think that i am successful cause i use an result.

One of the good things is that e-waste can be recycled. So it does not need to hurt lots of people in the world.for example, If we recycle we can help the world. So they don’t die we can do other things, like we can mint steel we can recycle the plastic. And we can turn it into other things we make lots of e-waste. In the past two years. We can stop this we just have to recycle. But if we keep it up then lots of families will die. As a  result  we need to start recycling so families don’t die.

In our class we are learning about dance, the dance element is body awareness, space and time. The ideas I like dancing to is melting and moon walking. Our dance is about e-waste this is my paragraph.
we are making a class dance it is about e-waste.

What is e-waste? E-waste are devices. Devices are obsolete when a devices is not working. Then it becomes obsolete. And when it becomes obsolete then when a devices is not working then it becomes obsolete. when a devices is not poplar then it becomes out of fashion out of fashion is when a devices is not poplar it's like that you are the old one and i'm the new one so people they go for the best one and when they don’t want it then it get’s thrower away.

My next step is to put full stop's at the end of my sentence

On the holidays me and my sister ask my mum if we can go to Rotorua with my nana to visit our old house OK said mum OK i said back to her then we got in the car and we set off but nana want to see her family and she had a sleep so we stayed there the the night then my sister was not listening to my naan so she got a growling than the night was over we got up at like 3:00 in the morning because we had to get there in one day

Then Boom my cousins pot out of my nana’s bot i was surprised to see them when they got out of the bot then my sister had a fight with my cousins naan got angry at the both of them then the two they stop as we were going into Auckland my cousins was hungry so there was a shop so we stop we got sum-thing to eat when nana went to go and revert then BOOM the back of the car was damaged my sister was fright  so was my baby cousins.

Then we stop at my nana’s papa’s house then me,my sister and my cousins we all watch TV then me and  nana went to the shop for her papa then we got back to her papa’s house then the kids got in the car so we side goodbye then we got on to the highway we went past a lots of town then six hours later we were in Rotorua ti was sit the same but when we got to the house then BOOM we got a right from my aunt then i went to play with my baby cousins.

My naan left me my sister with my aunt we went to go and pick up my other nana. Then when we got to her house then we had a shower my sister hop in the shower first then she got out of the shower then i got in the shower i was in there for like 5:00 minutes then i got out of the shower we got change and then we watch a pit of TV at the end of my day when the sun was going down a beautiful sunset came out.

I feel like that i need to add more emotive language and more rhetorical questions.

Possums

I believe that in new Zealand we should start killing possums.

My first reason is why is it a problem having too much possums? Well possums they hum plants,trees and eggs at night time when birds go and look for food then the possums came out and eat all of the eggs

My second reason is why bid possums come to Zealand and not go back to Australia? Wall in Australia there are predators.a predator is a creature that hunt and kills other animals like possums and birds that's why possums don’t go back to Australia wall would you like eight possums around you yes or no so make up your mind.

My there reason is why did people bring possums to new zealand? Wall back in the day people thought that it will be good to make possums fur out of clothing but there are too much possums that it makes it harder for farmers to get rid of them because when a possum's has deer then if it gets pass on to a farm animals can die.

My last reason is how can we solved this problem? Can be solved we can make traps and other thing like poison.

In summary i believe that possums should stop humming trees and birds and other animals that they hunt for.
